Learning objectives
Calculate the distance between two points in three dimensions using √((x₂ − x₁)² + (y₂ − y₁)² + (z₂ − z₁)²), and find the midpoint by averaging each coordinate
Calculate the volume and surface area of a right pyramid, a right cone, a sphere, a hemisphere and a cuboid, and of composite solids formed by combining them
Work backwards from a given volume or surface area to find a missing length, and convert consistently between units of length, area and volume
Find the angle between two intersecting lines in a solid, and between a line and a plane, by identifying a right-angled triangle inside the solid and using trigonometry
Draw and label a clear three-dimensional diagram, marking the right-angled triangle being used, and state which lengths are slant heights and which are perpendicular heights
