What Times Edu Revision AI collects, why, and who can see it.
• What we collect: your account details (name, email, phone number, time zone), your learning activity (answers, scores, mastery, study plan, notes, flashcards and AI Tutor conversations) and how you use the app.
• Why: to personalise your plan and practice, to show progress to the people you choose to link, and to improve the service.
• Who can see it: a parent you link sees progress summaries, never individual answers, notes or conversations. A tutor you link sees your progress, answers and mistakes to prepare lessons, but not your notes or AI Tutor conversations. Times Edu staff access your data only to support you and run the service.
• AI features: when you use the AI Tutor or AI marking, your message or answer and the relevant revision note are sent to our AI provider to generate the reply. Each AI Tutor message also carries a short learning background, without your name, phone number or email: your learning goal, study plan and starting-point check result, your Times Edu placement test result, the lessons you opened recently, your mastery by subject, and the subjects and topics of your earlier conversations (never what was written in them). None of this is used to train AI models.
• Your choices: you can export everything we hold, or delete your account, from Settings. Deletion removes your learning data straight away; payment records are kept without your name for accounting.
