Learning objectives

Manage the hour allowed for forty-five questions across the passage sets, budgeting time per set and moving on rather than stalling on one item

Answer reading questions by returning to the cited lines and reading enough around them to establish context before evaluating the options

Answer writing questions on revision and composition by deciding what the draft is trying to do for its audience, then choosing the option that best serves that purpose

Eliminate options systematically: reject answers that are true but irrelevant, partly right, or too absolute for the passage to support

Recognize the recurring question stems about a writer's purpose, the function of a sentence, the effect of a choice and the relationship between parts of a passage

Practice with full passage sets under timed conditions so that pace and stamina are trained alongside accuracy
