Learning objectives
Write a short piece of no more than 400 words in which every sentence does work, meeting the form, audience and purpose the brief specifies
Write a reflective commentary that analyses your own choices at the level of lexis, syntax, structure and register, quoting from your own writing
Explain how a named choice creates a named effect on the intended reader, rather than restating your intentions in general terms
Use the metalanguage of the course accurately in the commentary and avoid evaluating your own writing as good or bad
Divide the available time between the shorter writing and the commentary so that the commentary is planned rather than rushed
Continue with a revision plan
